Saturday afternoon turned out to be specifically geared for the teenagers. There was Paintballing in Culdaff (about 5 mile from Carndonagh) and then a barbeque at the beach. Despite the fact that the weather wasn’t great before and after, on the Saturday afternoon it was glorious just when it need to be. It was a real answer to prayer. Nearly all the spaces for the paint balling were filled and it seems we had one of the largest crowds ever for those who run the paint balling. They nearly ran out of equipment! Our speaker at the Barbeque was Mike Mullins. Mike is also from OM, husband of Aster and he is very passionate communicator with a great burden to see Ireland won for Christ. Mike spoke very relevantly (considering the paintballing) about warfare. Again the Gospel went out in a very powerful and effective way. For the Saturday night we were privileged to have ‘Inside out’ one of Ireland’s best contemporary Christian bands. We had sent a press release about the event to the local paper. The headline in the Derry Journal was: “Top Gospel Band to turn Hillhead ‘Inside Out.’” It indeed turned out to be an excellent evening with the hall full and ‘Inside out’ and their special guests in full swing. The evening included a special guest speaker who could not have presented the Gospel message any clearer than he did. Again the folks were left in no doubt that a decision for Jesus had to be made. The Sunday Services in the two congregations were a little different than normal. (10.30am in Carndonagh and 12.00 in Malin) We billed them on the publicity material as ‘Celebration Praise…with the worship group and Mark Goudy from Macosquin Church’ Mark preached powerfully and the large and very talented worship group from Macosquin congregation was beyond our expectations. The services were thoroughly enjoyed by both congregations. The caterers at Malin provided a hot lunch for our guests. Yet again our guests got a literal taste of Inishowen hospitality that is second to none. A great time of fellowship was had by all. Sunday evening rounded off the weekend and was billed as the ‘Grand
